About Scientific Vision Centre (SEVIC)
SCIENTIFIC VISION CENTRE is a Non- Governmental, Non-political, Non- Religious, Non-Sectarian, Non-Profit making Voluntary Organisation working in the nationwide specially in the North Eastern States. Established on 1st March, 2013 by a group of likeminded social workers and it was registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 Government of NCT of Delhi vide Registration no. S/ND/297/2013 dated 31st July, 2013.
Our Aim and Objectives
Aims & Objectives of the society for which the organization was established are to organize seminar on Global issues, Social Justice, Drugs, Dowry, Child Marriage, Legal Rights, Women and Child Labour, Welfare of senior citizens, Global warming, Educational and Economical upliftment to raise legal demands and fundamental rights which are provided by the Constitution of India. To promote the cause of National Integrity, Unity, Pease and progress of india. And to provide skill development programs and placement to youths.
What We Do
We work with government and communities to deliver quality service, care and equal opportunities across the region.
Senior Citizen Care
Organisation is running multiple senior citizens Home in the NE Region and organised multiple awareness & Training programs for the welfare of senior citizens in the region.
Child Protection
Organisation is running a Child Care Institute (CCI) in the Khowai district of Tripura. Organisation has organised multiple Awareness programs on Child Protection in different districts of Manipur.
Tribal Education
Organisation has been running multiple schools for the ST students in the region. And also planning to increase the number of schools and service towards the better Education in the region.
Urban Homeless
Organisation has been running Shelter for Urban Homeless in different districts of Tripura under TULM & DAY-NULM.
De-Addiction
Organisation has established two DDAC (Drug De-Addiction Centre) in two different districts of Sikkim.
Youth Skilling & Jobs
Organisation has been providing Skill Development Training Programs to more than 950 youths of this region & has given Job-Placement to 780 candidates so far.

Our Journey
Founded on March 1, 2013 by a group of like-minded social workers, SEVIC was registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860, Government of NCT of Delhi (Registration no. S/ND/297/2013 dated 31st July, 2013).
What began as a vision to serve underserved communities has grown into a comprehensive organization with multiple centers and programs across Northeast India.
Key Milestones:
- 2013: Organization established and first residential school started in Manipur
- 2017-18: Expansion to Tripura with additional residential schools
- 2018: Senior citizen homes established in Tripura and Nagaland
- 2024: Successfully trained 229 youth with 87% job placement rate
- 2025: Senior Citizen Home inaugurated by Honorable President of India

- Presidential Recognition (2025): Our Senior Citizens Home in Wokha district, Nagaland was among 5 homes inaugurated virtually by the Honorable President of India on May 2nd, 2025
- Government Approval: 3 homes approved by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India for Grant-in-aid
- High Job Placement Rate: Achieved 87% job placement rate for skill development trainees in 2024
- Multi-State Operations: Successfully operating across Northeast India with centers in Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, and Sikkim
